Dear Rodger:
Mine was the very first letter you posted back in September, so I wanted to report back to you that your advice worked great!
I wrote that I am dating a guy named Jim who was a total geek in how he dresses and wears his hair. You told me to volunteer to make myself his personal shopper and his stylist. I have done this, and it is working really, really well.
He still refuses to spend his own time shopping but he is very happy to wear anything I buy for him. He just gives me his credit card and tells me to buy him things, which I love doing. He also agreed to go with me to my hair stylist and have his hair styled and he is willing to go back to the stylist every 4 weeks.
Thank you!
Girl with a Geek
Dear Girl with a Geek~
Major congratulations! Now you just need to keep the boy on a short leash so no other girl comes along & nabs your well-coiffed & well-dressed beau!
Rodger

I like it when you post letters from people whose relationships have gotten better because of your advice. It is reassuring that there are ways to make relationships work smoothly.
What a great deal this guy's got! He has his own personal shopper without paying her and she goes out and spends hours and hours buying clothese for him. I would like one of these!
good advice - good solution - good to hear it's workiing
I wish my GF did all my clothes shopping for me. I think I'm going to go out and buy a bunch of ugly clothes so my GF can write you and you can tell her to shop for me like you told this girl to shop for her BF!
this is a stupendous example of how queer couples and straight couples are totally different - can you imageine ever finidng a queer guy who woudl let his partner buy all his clothes???? never happen!!!!
it would be so great if i could get my bf to let me buy his clothes - he has horrible taste but things its the best around anywhere - wish i new your secret
i beg to differ with Steve - i am definitely one queer dude who'd be totally on board with having a BF who'd shop for my clothes - bring him on!
